Laurence Olivier Awards - nominations announced!

The nominations for this year's Laurence Olivier Awards have been announced, and the Histories have received recognition in four categories.

Best Company Performance
- August: Osage County at the NT Lyttelton
- Black Watch at the Barbican
- The Histories at the Roundhouse
- The Norman Conquests at the Old Vic
- Sunset Boulevard at the Comedy

Best Revival
- The Chalk Garden at the Donmar Warehouse
- The Histories at the Roundhouse
- The Norman Conquests at the Old Vic

Best Set Design
- Todd Rosenthal - August: Osage County at the NT Lyttelton
- Neil Murray, projections by Gemma Carrington and Jon Driscoll - Brief Encounter at the Cinema, Haymarket
- Tom Piper - The Histories at the Roundhouse
- Soutra Gilmour - The Lover And The Collection at the Comedy
- Paul Brown - Marguerite at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket

Best Costume Design
- Tom Piper and Emma Williams - The Histories at the Roundhouse
- Matthew Wright - La Cage Aux Folles at the Playhouse
- Rob Howell - The Norman Conquests at the Old Vic
- Christopher Oram - Twelfth Night at the Wyndham’s

The winners will be announced at the annual awards ceremony held this year on Sunday 8 March 2009. Live coverage will be available on the evening through OfficialLondonTheatre.co.uk including, for the first time, live video footage.
